Talent Development

CHALLENGE A growing organization was onboarding employees across five offices in four countries, but the employee experience varied significantly by location. The challenge was to create greater consistency without ignoring differences in local regulations, culture, operating practices, and employee needs. APPROACH I developed a common onboarding architecture that separated what should be globally consistent from what genuinely needed to remain locally adaptable. The work included aligning stakeholders across locations, reviewing existing practices, clarifying ownership, eliminating unnecessary duplication, and creating a shared foundation for employee and manager onboarding. I also standardized onboarding for sales managers working across both office-based and remote environments. IMPACT The redesigned approach created a more consistent employee experience while reducing duplication and unnecessary expense. Within approximately three months, the changes generated about $50,000 in savings. Employees could receive a recognizable organizational experience regardless of where they joined, without forcing every office into an identical process. WHAT THIS DEMONSTRATES Consistency and localization do not have to compete. Good talent-development architecture establishes a common foundation while deliberately preserving the differences that genuinely matter.
